KUBO is open source and yours to run, so you can do everything yourself. But a lab has to stay running for years without stretching a tight budget, so next to the technology we offer the human touch. This is the full menu: pick what your school needs.
It spends most of that life running, so that is where most of our care goes.
From the first plan to a working lab and a trained team.
Based on an intake, by video call, in person or over email, whatever works best, we help you align KUBO with your school: which parts of the suite fit now, what hardware you can reuse, what a realistic budget buys.
We set up the school platform around your school, its classes, subjects and report style, and import your students, so it is ready for the first term.
Content your classrooms rely on, made available without internet: we transform documents, videos and courses to run offline from the local server, and map them to your curriculum.
One visit gets you running: we install the lab in your classroom and train teachers and staff in hands-on workshops. We fly in wherever you are, and workshops can be repeated as your team grows.
The ongoing care that makes it all sustainable, in local hands wherever we can: we aim to maximize local employment.
Keeping a lab running is ongoing work, so it needs a team nearby. Our regional experts currently cover The Gambia and the Fort Portal region of Uganda, visiting schools for upkeep, repairs and support.
Your school's data, kept safe: the server backs itself up locally, and our backup service adds an off-site copy through cloud sync, so records survive failing or stolen hardware.
When the server misbehaves, we debug it from here over the internet. And when hands are needed on site, we guide a local technician through it on a video call, screwdriver in hand.
The platform keeps evolving, and we keep your server up to date with new versions and security fixes. And when the school grows, we help you plan the hardware to grow with it.
Less a service than a way of working: the end of the lifecycle is part of the plan too.
Equipment that is no longer used should not end up in a drawer or a dump. To the best of our abilities, we help it find a second life in another classroom or school, or a responsible recycling channel.
Every school is different, so tell us what you need and we think along.
